About Katherine

Hello! I’m Katherine – a passionate floral designer and founder of Petals by the Shore WSM, based in the seaside town of Weston-super-Mare.

Originally from Shepton Mallet, I moved to Bleadon in 2015, where I met my partner, Benjamin. I’ve since fallen in love with life by the coast – especially paddling in the sea with my children and enjoying the classic charm of Weston’s arcades.

After completing my Level 2 (2020) and Level 3 (2023) City & Guilds qualifications in Floristry at Weston College (evening classes, with two little ones in tow!), I decided to take the leap and launch Petals by the Shore WSM.

My work focuses on wild and natural farewell flowers crafted with seasonal,, shareable, sustainable, and environmentally friendly techniques. Alongside farewell florals, I also offer:

* Seasonal flower arrangements and home decor.

* Floral hatboxes

* Naked Bouquets

I will be using fresh and dried British flowers (where possible).

You’ll often find me in person at local markets such as Bleadon Market, with my pop-up flower shop full of seasonal blooms and floral gifts. I’m also happy to meet by appointment to discuss your flower needs in more detail.

I currently work from my home studio in Bleadon, but we’re excited to be looking for a larger space to grow in Weston-super-Mare or the surrounding area.

With a minimum spend of £30, every bouquet I create is designed to make you feel special – because I truly believe flowers carry a little bit of magic.
